Valerie Ransone - some further insights

Background

Some interesting individuals come and go in the field of UAP research. One of these, is an American woman named Valerie Jean Ransone. She moved in high circles in the USA in the 1970's and 1980's, and was associated, among others, with US astronaut Gordon Cooper.

I first wrote about her in a post in 2011; after my former co-blogger, Pauline Wilson, mentioned Ransone's name in connection with Dr Christopher (Kit) Green. After finding additional information, I provided an update. Later, after locating Ransone in Hawaii; and several unsuccessful attempts to engage her in dialogue, I published a 'final post.'

Since Novermber 2012, as various individuals have read my posts about Ransone, I have been provided with additional snippets of information by some people; while others have merely been curious, as to whether or not, Ransone ever contacted me.

A timeline

For such enquirers, I now provide a timeline of information, together with a source.

1950 - Ransone born in the Chicago area of the USA. (Vallee, 2009, 'Forbidden Science Volume Two,' diary entry dated 9 July 1981.)

2011 - Ransone active on a forum dealing with the works of Nikola Tesla. ( http://www.teslaworks.net/resources.html ) Forum accessed 2011, but now longer on that site.

Finding Ransone

After writing the 2011 blog posts, I wondered if it was possible, to find out if Ransone was still alive, and if so, what she was currently doing? Via a combination of internet websites on genealogy; snippits on various Internet forums, and some 'out of the box thinking' on my behalf, I located Ransone still alive, and living in Hawaii.

I found:

1. A Facebook page in the name 'Lyra Ransone,' Ransone's full name being Valerie Jean Lyra Ransone. This Facebook page stated that this Ransone had studied at NorthWestern University and was from Kenilworth, Illinois, very close to Chicago in the USA. This information is consistent with that given by Vallee in 1978.)

In addition, the Facebook page at that stage, mentioned this Ransone was the President/Founder of the Mai Kalani Foundation, founded in 1982. A search for information on the Foundation revealed that its 'Mission Statement,' 'Is to contribute to world understanding through Transformational initiatives that enhance self-discovery, encourage open and direct contact with Universal Intelligence, and to develop and distribute well-researched educational materials that encourage life-long learning and reinforce a positive World view full of possibilities and promise.'

2. I found that a 'Lyra Ransone' had contributed to an American website forum, discussing the work of Nikola Tesla.

I was already aware, that in the 1970's, Gordon Cooper had looked into starting up a company using some of Tesla's ideas, according to Bruce Henderson, co-author of Cooper's book 'Leap of Faith.' Valerie was cited as Cooper's business partner in this venture.

I was therefore fairly certain that the 1970's and 1980's Valerie Ransone, was the same person as the 2010's Lyra Ransone. I therefore attempted to contact Lyra Ransone via snailmail; email; Facebook and the Tesla forum. I advised her that, I simply wanted to find out what she had been doing since the 1980's. I never received any response to any of my communications.

Enter Vallee 2016

I had not intended to write anything further about Ransone. However, just recently I received and read, a copy of Jacque Vallee's new book 'Forbidden Science Volume Three.' This book covers the time period 1980-1989, and fills in more gaps of our knowledge of Ransone.

There are several diary entries concerning Ransone.

1. 22 October 1980 p.52

'On my way through D.C. I spoke to Kit at length at the Marriott in Dulles. He told me that UFO contactee Valerie Ransone was in La Jolla after some sort of crisis.'

2. 22 February 1981 p.59

'Kit came to see me last night...Little has changed: news of contactee Valerie Ransone.'

3. 23 June 1985 p.189

Dr Richard Niemtzow. '...Richard went on to tell me about his activities with John Schuessler in Houston in the days when Valerie Ransone was stirring up ufology. "When we entered the offices of the organisation where she worked all phone conversations stopped; no documents were visible on the desks. We were asked about our research, and left with no new information, convinced the group worked for a clandestine outfit."'

4. 30 July 1989 pp 411-412

Richard Niemtzow. 'This lead us to a wide ranging discussion of the role of various agencies in the UFO business and we came to talk about Kit. Richard reminisced about the time when he and John Schuessler were almost 'recruited' by a woman who claimed to be working for a private investigation service in Houston. When they came to her office for a meeting about UFOs they found a dozen people working behind desks which were so neat and devoid of paperwork as if to seem unnatural, and they quickly came to a conclusion the whole thing was a setup.

"Was the woman named Valerie Ransone?" I asked Richard.

He seemed puzzled to find that I knew her and her operations.

"Did you ever find out who she was working for? he asked. I confessed that I did not.

"Schuessler tracked her down through his channels at McDonnell-Douglas. It turned out she was an agent for NRO, working with the Navy. Kit, who took care of her medically, once told me that she was amazing; she knew four times as many people as the both of us did."

I laughed at that" "She also looks a lot better than both of you guys." I pointed out. "A woman as beautiful and articulate as she was would have no difficulty being invited to lunch by any company president. That didn't necessarily mean she had access."

"There's something else Jacques. When I revealed to Kit, over lunch, that I knew her affiliations, he practically chocked on his food. He told me not to mention her again at the restaurant. I've only had that reaction from him twice in all the time I've known him."

5. 24 August 1988 (should be 1989) p.424

'Kit's involvement also appears in connection with Valerie Ransone. According to Niemtzow he was her medical handler. It is through her that Niemtzow met Kit; she put them in touch with each other...Then following the famous episode in which Schuessler and Niemtzow found themselves being recruited by Valerie's outfit in Houston.'

6. 17 September 1989 pp 435-436

'Speaking of trying to locate evidence of an active 'Black project." What about Valerie Ransone?'

7. 14 December 1989 p.468

Speaking of Kit. 'There are several burning questions I would like to put to Kit: Who was Valerie really working for?'

Notes

1. Presumably the NRO referred to in Vallee's diary entry dated 30 July 1989, is the National Reconnaisance Office. Its current website states that 'The NRO is the US government agency in charge of designing, building, launching and maintaining America's intelligence satellites.'

2. I have not been able to find out anything about the private investigation firm, Security Around the Globe.

3. I am aware of several researchers who have, in recent times, tried to communicate with Ransone. I have not heard of anyone who has been successful.

4. A check of Facebook, conducted on 21 September 2016, revealed that the 'Lyra Ransone' account is still active.

5. A check of the internet using various key words located only one piece of information which I had not found previously. Amazon books website revealed that they listed a work titled 'The Universal Intelligence Consortium: Conversations with an Interdimensional correspondent on the coming earth changes' authored by Valerie Jean Ransone, with a publication date of 1996.

Have any blog readers further information about Valerie Jean Lyra Ransone?

"New human" is not new

Hi all,

Earlier this month a young woman spoke at a meeting of UFO Research (NSW) Incorporated. She refers to herself as a "starseed"; "Homo Novis"; or a "new human." In her own words, a "hybrid" between a human and an extra-terrestrial.

Intrigued, I then read with great interest an article in the digitised edition of "The Sydney Morning Herald" dated 3 April 2016. The text of that article is as follows:
"Meet Lea, the 'new human' who says she's had close encounters since childhood.
by Tim Barlass

It takes a bit of courage to do what 22-year old Lea Kapiteli did on Saturday night. Far easier to stay at home.

She went public for the first time. The venue was the Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club. The organisers: UFO Research NSW.

Ms Kapiteli told the group that it has been happening since she was five. She sees things.
She says she has interacted with extra-terrestrials on numerous occasions. She describes them, knows their names, culture and history. She creates captivating illustrations of what she has seen. There are even drawings of herself in what she describes as her astral body.

Then she goes further. She calls herself a starseed, Homo Novis or "new human", said to be highly intuitive and possessing multidimensional abilities beyond the five senses.

"A new human is a hybrid of extra-terrestrial and human, the type of person who has had a lot of ET or non-human experiences and who feels like they are not really of this place." She said.
"I have been having contact for about 15 years. It can range from physical encounters to psychic encounters and receiving information seemingly from nowhere."

The first evidence she says was at home in Melbourne. She woke up and said she knew it was time to leave. She saw a bright light through the window. "We tend to stop when there is a physical object in front of us, but I didn't have any of that instinct. I just kept walking through the window. I was in in a bright bluish place and saw a woman at the end of a path. She was short, bald and with golden skin. She had a red robe and she was beckoning me to come.

"We ended up in what seemed like a classroom with all sorts of people there. Human children, extra-terrestrial children of different races and with different skin colours, some had blue or green skin. There were human children just like me. Some of them were wearing pyjamas still. I wasn't afraid because this was like Sunday school."

She says she also regularly has experiences of astral travel, where the body is temporarily left behind, giving freedom to explore the solar system or different worlds. She said on one occasion she was grabbed around the leg and woke up to see a red imprint around her leg.

Of her decision to give her first public talk, she said: "I feel this is a very important topic to talk about.. Very few people are exploring it. I'm not the only one who is experiencing this. There are people all around the planet who are having these encounters and not enough people are saying what is really going on.

"There's every help group out there for every topic you could possibly imagine except this one."
Her mother Sanja Korlaet, said that in the beginning she was confused and worried there could be something wrong with her daughter.

"One day at the age of eight she came to me and said: Mum, I am not who you think I am. I am not just your daughter, which scared me. I believe what she is experiencing is a real thing. The drawings are of strange looking people she tells me: 'These are my friends, mum. You haven't met them yet.' She is still young and I am not sure she is ready to handle this situation, but she wants to help other star seeds.'

UFO Research NSW President Mariana Flynn said she became aware of Ms Kapiteli through Mary Rodwell , the Queensland-based head of the Australian Close Encounter Research Network, who she said works with a lot of starseeds and star children.

"I met Lea and asked her to talk to our group. I am always wanting to stretch minds and wake people up. I think the group will be fine when they see her energy, personality and [the] authenticity of her story. I had someone ask me if she's had medical tests to prove she has got extra-terrestrial DNA. No. The tests are very expensive."

"We have to take her on trust and if people can't handle her story that's fine. We are just giving them the experience of a unique young person telling her story and who believes she's telling the truth.""

Lea's blog

I did an Internet search for Lea and found she publishes a blog On the blog I found a section titled "What's this blog all about? Eager to learn more of Lea's views, and experiences I read the text there.

"Unlike other blogs that deal with food, film, reviews and various other online rants - this blog is open to all aspects of the New Age movement. The New Age movement could be considered a spiritual awakening for people breaking away from mainstream 'in the box" old way of looking at things to start looking at the many mysteries that's before us (and more to come) with a new pair of eyes. This blog will be talking about a whole range of things from metaphysics, philosophies, contacts with non-human entities, past lives, the works!

What is my story? How did I come to know all this?

My earliest experiences started when I was five and six years old having regular visits from extra-terrestrial entities; twice we physical and various astral visits, when I was with my contacts I was tought many things.

Over time I started remembering snippets of memory from my past lives; they added huge pieces to my knowledge about the world and beyond that I soon began accepting that as my truth. Other humans were not so open when I told them about my experiences and often tried to convince me they were nothing more than wishful thinking and vivid dreams - and a good part of me believed it growing up.

Until one night when I turned 13 I had an incredible encounter with a being calling himself Mezreth, even though I had never met him before there was a huge familiarity with him. After the introductions were over he asked me but one question 'Do you want to know?' this was my chance to know all the questions burdening my mind and soul for years to have an opportunity to have someone confirm my early childhood experiences were not dreams. I accepted his knowledge and from that moment on my life was totally changed.

I had ongoing contact from various ETs and EDs (extra-dimensionals) and even rekindled with contacts I broke off in my childhood, my life was answered.

I began learning everything my contacts were teaching me, nothing was spared. Downloads of information with excruciating details I was uncovering (it felt like a wrapped package for me to open and take out the contents) from any topic I could ask for, even when I wouldn't receive any downloads from my contacts then I could just ask in casual conversations. My past life memories came out tenfold. I remembered about histories that were now lost in researched time, people who have been with me in old times reborn into today's world - all of it.

But with all the wonderful stuff came that horrid poke in the ribs of wanting to tell someone here on earth. I knew no one readily to talk to about this and I desperately craved to talk about it - but people kept shutting my reality away. I was undeterred - disappointed and borderline desperate. I told my mother who did believe me, she found information online backing up what I was saying! That was a huge relief knowing I wasn't going to be thrown in the nut house. But as time went on, I kept coming out with more information and at times she couldn't take it in one swoop, the more I held off from the downloads and reduced discussing information - I would forget it after it would cause me bad headaches, this was happening frequently as a teenager.

I didn't 'come out of the spaceship' until I was in my late teens, I started meeting new people I could talk to about things through various researchers and word of mouth connections. It gave me great insight learning from their experiences and how they came to be the person they were today. But when I couldn't reach out to people, I had to write it down on paper and I can say I have a dozen notebooks and scrapbooks I added to over time.

I came to terms with all of this and realized that this is my reality, no one else can try to change or alter it anyway that bests suits their vision - reality doesn't work that way. To all my readers out there, people cannot tell you something is or isn't real when they do not stand in the same space as you did."

My initial thoughts
What do I think of Lea's account? Firstly, she must be congratulated for being willing to publicly talk about her experiences. From my own research, I know that there are certainly other individuals in the world, who have shared similar experiences. Quite a few have already shared these publicly, on television shows, in books, at UFO conferences, and more recently, via the internet.

As she says in part of her blog posts , who are others to judge you if they "...do not stand in the same space as you did."

My initial thoughts are that, yes, others can offer their own opinions on accounts of this nature, if an individual makes specific claims, based on what they say happened to them. So, what did Lea say about her status  as a "Homo Novis?"

In a post on her blog, dated June 10 she writes:

"Homo Novis

They are genetically modified humans whose purpose is to physically  and mentally enhance homo sapiens to the point where future offspring become homo novis...Homo novis are a genetic mixture of human and soul-selected E.T. DNA...They have extra abilities granted to them by their E.T. parts...Novis are designed to do specific tasks..Though I cannot speak for all novis, they have a small sense of arrogance and small hints of superiority...they are genetically planted within these already decently advanced women and men (families) that would produce healthy and able novis...
However, novis cannot produce more novis unfortunately...Novis are meant to "Awaken" humanity...Fun Facts: homo novis are all contacts and agreed to contract terms of their unique lives...they are able to sense each other world wide through an internal beacon...all homo novis are born from homo sapien parents..."

This isn't new at all!

From my reading, the concept of "star seeds", "new humans" and "homo novis" are not new. This idea stretches back to at least 1982. It involves the earlier concepts of "star children"; "Indigo children" and other such terms.

1982 - Indigo children

Let's go back to 1982 and the concept of "indigo children."  Nancy Ann Tappe had a book published titled “ Understanding your life through color.” (Starling Publishers, Carlsbad, California. ISBN 0-940399-00-8).

“…first known publication where the behaviour patterns of these new children were identified.” Tappe classed human behaviour in terms of colors. “One of the color groups in her work …Indigo…” (Page 5 of Carroll, Lee & Tober, Jan. 1999. “The Indigo Children.”  Hay House. Carlsbud, California.)

1994 - Star children

English UFOlogist, Jenny Randles wrote of her findings about what she called "star children" in 1994 in a book titled “Star Children.” (Robert Hale Ltd. London. ISBN 0 7090 53886).

1. “We can summarize what the Star Child theory actually is…
- an alien intelligence is on Earth and in contact with humanity
- two types of entity, tall, blonde ‘Nordics’ and small greys
- “They are calling people to act as messenger and also genetically engineering some part of humanity. Both result in what we call Star Children. According to some witnesses, aliens claim to have seeded Star Children on earth for many millennia…” (page 152).

2. Contactees and abductees are messengers (page 156). “These people are, in a sense, all Star Children.” (page 157).

3. “Yet the most direct form of Star Child…is the actual replacement of a human spirit by some form of alien consciousness.” (page 158).

4. “That people believe they may be Star Children seems undeniable.” (page 160).

5. “We are being gradually turned into Star Children-or, as Sprinkle calls them, Cosmic Citizens, or indeed, as Ring would have it, Omega People.” (page 205).

6. “Are you a Star Child?
- Unusual phobias
- Out driving or walking and avoid certain areas
- Seen a UFO
- Have vivid UFO dreams
- Have flying/floating/lucid dreams
- Sudden intense interest in psychic phenomena, space, the sea?
- Early vivid memories
- As a child experienced strange figures in the bedroom
- Age 3-10 believe wardrobe could move or talk
- Interested in poetry, creative writing, chess
- Have missing time episode(s) (page 207).

Randles concept of Star Children is  “People living amongst us whose origins are other than human.” Some believe they come from another planet-others feel used in a global plan to develop new humans.

1995- Dilys Gater

In 1995, Dilys Gater, in her first book titled “A Psychic’s Casebook” wrote that she received letters from people re the book’s chapter “Angels, Aliens and Star Children.” “…apparently intrigued readers…the descriptions I had given of encounters with individuals who felt they did not belong on the earth…” (page 1 of Gater, Dilys. 2005. “Understanding Star children.” Capall Bann Publishing. Somerset UK. ISBN 186163 254 1).

1999 - Back to Indigo children

In 1999, Lee Carroll and Jan Tober, in their book titled “The Indigo Children.”  (Hay House. Carlsbud. California) wrote:

1. “What is an Indigo child?” “…an Indigo child is one who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes and shows a pattern of behaviour generally undocumented before.” (page 1).

2. “Here are ten of the most common traits of Indigo children:

1. They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it)
2. They have a feeling of “deserving to be here,” and are surprised when others don’t share that.
3. Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents “who they are.”
4. They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice.)
5. They simply will not do certain things; for example waiting line is difficult for them.
6. They get frustrated with systems that are ritual-oriented and don’t require creative thought.
7. They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like “system busters” (nonconforming to any system.)
8. They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind If there are no others with like consciousness, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.
9. They will not respond to ‘guilt’ discipline (“Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did.”)
10. They are not shy in letting you know what they need.”

3. “Why Indigo?”  - there have been various systems for grouping human behaviour. (page 2).

4. In 1982 Nancy Ann Tappe had a book published titled “ Understanding your life through color.” ISBN 0-940399-00-8. Starling Publishers, Carlsbad, California. “…first known publication where the behaviour patterns of these new children were identified.” Tappe classed human behaviour in terms of colors. “One of the color groups in her work …Indigo…” (Page 5).

5. According to Tappe there are four types of Indigo:
- Humanist
- Conceptual
- Artist
- Inter-dimensional (page 11).

6. Robert Gerard wrote “Indigos came to save the planet, their parents, and their friends as emissaries from Heaven…” (page 37)

7. Interview with Nancy Tappe. “Nancy are there any of these Indigos here for the first time?” “yes, some are. There are some who have already gone through the third dimension, and there are some, I think who came from another planet. That’s the inter-planets Indigo-why I call them interdimensional.” (page 126.)

8. Dr Laurie Joy Pinkham wrote “Both of my children have been unusual in the sense of their experiences. Scott used to wake me up at night to go outside and look at the spaceships he was seeing…His brother Mark would call me into his room at night and ask if I could see the spaceman standing there, or the flying saucers…” (page 143).

9. Not all Indigo children are ADD or ADHD! Not all ADD and ADHD children are Indigo! (page 153).

2001 - More on Indigo children

In January 2001, Lee Caroll and Jan Tober, published “An Indigo celebration.” (Hay House. Carlsbad, California) and among their comments were:

1. “…we started hearing more and more about a new kind of child…an interchange between adult and child that was unexpected and seemingly atypical of what our generation…had experienced.”  “We think that humankind is evolving, and the kids are the proof?” (page x).

2. “…others actually concluded that we were promoting the fact that these new children on Earth were space aliens! We weren’t, but we were telling people that we felt that this was new kind of evolution of humanity.” (Page xii).

3. “Many who are in their 40’s and 50’s feel that they meet all the Indigo criteria! Could it be that they were forerunners of the Indigo?” (page 113).

2003 - Mary Rodwell

In 2003, Australian researcher Mary Rodwell brought her own perspective to the literature in her book “Awakening.” (Beyond Publications. ISBN 1-903782-03-1).

Chapter 9 discussed Star Children:

- “These new children are given many names, but the name most commonly used is “Star Children.’” (Page 130)

- Other terms are Indigo Children; Children of the blue ray; Smart Kids; Children of light. The Millenium Children. Golden Children. (page 130)

- Dr Roger Leir speaks of:
- Accelerated physical development
- Higher intelligence
- Improved psychic abilities (page 130)

- “Dr Leir says that he believes the answer to this involves the alien manipulation of human genetics.” (page 131)

- “…Richard Boylan…not only acknowledges the evidence for Homo Noeticus, but believes they exist in such large numbers that he is able to run workshops for them and their parents.” (page 131) They are like little adults in children’s bodies; have a gaze and knowingness that belies their years; believed to be brought about by a telepathic downloading of  information; children of both human and extraterrestrial origin; ET contribution coming from genetic engineering (page 131)

Rodwell’s research about these children included:

- Walks at 8 months
- Reads at 2 years
- Advanced psychic abilities (page 131)

- Ann Andrews who wrote “Abducted” believes her son Jason is a Star Child

- What are the indications for a Star Child?
- Children with memory gaps in childhood
- Contact – night time visitors or taken during the day
- Unusual stories from the child
- Will talk about their experiences with fluency and consistency (page 145)

- Pages 145-147 provides a very lengthy list of what signs to look out for in terms of feelings, physical, PSI ability and anomalous phenomena

- “A proportion of experiencers have had their children diagnosed as being ADD or ADH…” (page 149)

- US author Dana Redfields “ET-Human link, We are the messenger” she writes about Golden Children. Smart kids. Wonder children. (Page 155)

- Caryl Dennis & Parker Whitman – book – “The Millennium Children” – children who demonstrate psychic abilities. High intelligence. Awareness of other dimensions. (page 156)

- Paul Dong “Mysteries in Mainland China” – extraordinary human faculties found in Chinese children. (page 156)

- James Twyman “Emissary of Love, The psychic children speak to the world.” Bulgarian children psychic powers and wisdom. (page 156)

- Dr Berrenda Fox – amazing DNA cellular changes; some people developed new strands of DNA. (page 156).

2003 - Margaret Tracey

Also in 2003, appeared a book about Australian Indigo children, written by Margaret Tracey titled  “Aussie Indigos.” (BSF Publications. Kialla West Vic. ISBN 0-9750694-0-3):

1. Margaret was a Primary school teacher, has two Indigo children, Matthew now 22 and Joel 17.

- Both boys were easily distracted
- Had night terrors
- Were bed wetters
- Often related better to adults
- Joel would ask complicated questions about God, death and the stars
- Both were very intelligent
- Between ages 5 and 15 the school system changed them and in adolescence they had low self-esteem, learning difficulties, were anxious and paranoid
- Reading and research led to a diagnosis of ADHD and the use of the medicine Ritalin (page 8).

2. In 2002 “…my Mora Therapist asked me if I was familiar with the term Indigo Children.” Margaret then read the books by Carroll and Tober. (page 9).

3. Margaret has a website at www.belstack.com.au

2005 - Dilys Gater

Two years later, Dilys Gater  published “Understanding Star children.” (Capall Bann Publishing. Somerset UK. ISBN 186163 254 1).

1. In her first book in 1995 titled “A Psychic’s Casebook” she received letters from people re the book’s chapter “Angels, Aliens and Star Children.” “…apparently intrigued readers…the descriptions I had given of encounters with individuals who felt they did not belong on the earth…” (page 1).

2. Her pointers to Star Children are:
- Deep, disturbing sense of being “different”
- May have undergone meetings with fairies; elementals; communication with other worlds or dimensions, aliens or UFOs
- Almost invariably undergone some kind of near-death experience (page 19).

3. “…the most significant characteristic of a “Star Child” is an extreme over-reaction if asked whether they want  ‘to go home’…” (p20).

4. Younger Indigo children under age 7 are called “Crystal children.”

2007- Mary Rodwell

Mary Rodwell, in 2007,  set out further information in an article “The new humans: 5th root race, indigos, China’s super psychics & Star Children.” This article appeared in the  “UFOlogist”  Vol 10 No 5  pp 25-29 and Vol 10 no 6 pp 47-51.

The article mentions:

- Pravda Sep 2004 article about a 7 year old boy in Russia who spoke of his life on Mars
- Edgar Cayce speaking of a new humanity –the 5th root race –appearing 1998-2010
- The recent emergence of Indigo children
- UFOlogists researching ETs experienced by children
- Mentions Doreen Virtue; Lee Carroll & Jan Tober-
- Research by Dr Roger Leir “I have come to the conclusion that the rapid advancement of our human species is due to alien intervention in our bodies and minds.”
- Dr Richard Boylan is President of the Star Kids project in the USA
- Star Children have higher physical and psychological functioning; enhanced psychic and intuitive abilities; awareness of universal knowledge; and their true genetic origins
- Cites some Australian examples
- Proposes ufo researchers should have a broader approach to their subject
- Talks about her work at ACERN
- Symbols, images that experiencers reveal assists validate their experiences
- New Russian DNA research  documented by Grazyna Fosar and Franz Bludorf
- Chinese research.

2008 - Meg Blackburn Losey

In 2008, appeared the book  Blackburn Losey, Meg.  “Conversations with the children of now.” (New Page Books. Franklin Lakes, NJ. ISBN 13: 978-1-56414-978-7).

1. “They are very special children, for they represent what many are calling a new consciousness on Earth…an evolvement of humanity that you can see right in the minds of the youngest humans alive.” Lee Carroll in the foreword. (p11).

2. The theme is that the education system can’t cope with these new type of children. (page 11).

3. “There are thousands, if not millions of these amazing children in our world today, and they are part of a great revolution in the consciousness of humanity.” (Page 13).

4. “What is presently occurring is a startling phenomenon; we have begun to progress into a fast-forward evolution. The intricate inner workings of our DNA are changing, and their brain waves are beginning to function more fully than ever before. Brain-wave relationships are spontaneously moving with higher vibrational patterning as the electromagnetic fields within our DNA. (pages13-14).

5. “The Indigo were the first to appear.”
- “The crystalline children” are sensitive beings who are often telepathic; have natural healing abilities, are perceptive beyond our imaginings; and are here on Earth as representatives of who we once were.”
- “The Star Kids” are highly intelligent beings whose DNA segments from our root races and have become active.”
- Transitional children – neither Indigo nor crystalline. Believe they are different.
- The beautiful silent ones – generally with physical dysfunction (page 14).

6. Crystalline children, Star Children, Indigo children remember past lives-some choose their parents and remember being born. (page 55).

7. Asked what they remember “…the star children often spoke of memories of distant planets in faraway galaxies.” (page 56).

8. The book consists of lots of interviews with a number of children.

9. “…many of these children are being diagnosed errantly with attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), and autism.”  (Page 195).

Key concepts

A summary of all the above is difficult, but perhaps the key themes running through all the material includes:

“We think that humankind is evolving, and the kids are the proof?” (2001 - Carroll, Lee and Tober, Jan. “An Indigo celebration.” Hay House. Carlsbad, California. px)

“…others actually concluded that we were promoting the fact that these new children on Earth were space aliens! We weren’t, but we were telling people that we felt that this was new kind of evolution of humanity.” (2001 - Carroll, Lee and Tober, Jan.  “An Indigo celebration.” Hay House. Carlsbad, California. P xii.)

“Dr Leir says that he believes the answer to this involves the alien manipulation of human genetics.” (2003 - Rodwell, Mary. “Awakening.” Beyond Publications. p131.)

“…an evolvement of humanity that you can see right in the minds of the youngest humans alive.” (Lee Carroll in 2008 - Blackburn Losey, Meg.  “Conversations with the children of now.” New Page Books. Franklin Lakes, NJ p11).

As the reader will note, all these writers and all the different names they use, suggests but one theme. Lea Kapiteli's current thoughts have a lengthy pedigree.

Contactee Valerie Ransone - the final post

Hi all,

I previously posted details about a fascinating 1970's contactee named Valerie Ransone (click here and here.) Ransone disappeared from the scene in the early 1980's. Recently I located an individual who appears to be Ransone.

Details given on a Facebook page, which is in a different name, not that of Valerie Ransone, agree with those provided by Jacques Vallee in a diary entry on Ransone, in his book "Forbidden Science-Volume Two." This Facebook page led me to further Internet sources.

Ransone created a Foundation in 1982, which still exists. Part of the Foundation's Mission Statement, shows that Ransone continues to pursue contact with what she calls the "Universal Intelligence."

As late as November 2011 Ransone was still interested in the inventions and work of a famous twentieth century inventor. In the late 1970's Ransone formed a company with former NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper, using some of that inventors ideas, according to Bruce Henderson, co-author of Cooper's book "Leap of Faith."

I emailed Ransone, providing links to my two previous posts about her, and asked if she would be willing to share details of what she had been doing since the early 80's. Two weeks later, I have not received a response. I take this to mean that Ransone does not wish to provide us with such details. This is a pity, as whatever you think about the contactee movement, it has been a part of the living history of the UAP phenomenon.

I am therefore closing my research into this fascinating individual. Unless she decides to tell the second part of her story, the full extent of her journey will remain unknown.

An Australian contactee - Peter Maxwell Slattery

Hi all,

I'd like to start off this post by thanking my co-blogger, Pauline Wilson, for all the hard work she has put into making this a successful blog. I will miss her insightful comments, as well as the expressive ways that she reported on the mundane topic of Adelaide's weather.

In my own blog posts I have focused mainly on a number of specific projects. These have included researching material from the National Archives of Australia; cold cases; and from time to time such areas as contactees. In Pauline's absence, and due to reader feedback which has shown other areas are of interest to you, I will also be reporting on new books and items from a variety of magazines and journals. Pauline's vision for the blog was that it would not simply copy items from elsewhere, but wander over topics that took her interest, stopping here and there to explore, think, and comment. I like that philosophy and intend to follow it in my future posts.

Now to today's topic which is an Australian "contactee" named Peter Maxwell Slattery.

Australian Peter Maxwell Slattery has recently published two books titled "My Awakening" Parts 1 and 2.

Part 1:

"My Awakening is an account of my own paranormal and UFO experiences over the time since I was 12. In this book I document the time line of my experiences from witnessing apparitions, to seeing alien space crafts which are also known as UFOs. Come and join me on my journey into the unknown and my life changing ride, which has shaped and moulded the person I am today. Skeptic or not, my story with photographic evidence to some of my experiences will make you think. Also some names have been withheld and altered to protect their identities. So in saying that, sit back, relax and have an open mind. This is my personal UFO story."

Part 2:

"The story continues in "My Awakening Part 2" of my paranormal experiences with other worldly beings. In this book I document the time line of my experiences from seeing alien space craft which are also known as UFOs, to messages from a 5th dimensional being. This story when put together with other legitimate UFO and paranormal cases makes for the most important story ever told to mankind. So come and join me on my journey into the unknown and my life changing ride, which has shaped and moulded the person I am today. Skeptic or not, my story with photographic evidence to some of my experiences, will make you think. So in saying that, sit back, relax and have an open mind. This is my story, part 1."

A third book:

The website also reveals that there is a third book, written by Peter, and  titled "The History of Man: An Alien civilisation." " This book is about man's connection to the stars, how our existence came about and how knowledge was seeded on earth in man with an alien connection. In this book you will read what has been found during investigations of all types that point to man being in contact with aliens for thousands of years. It is now estimated that between 200 and 400 billion planets exist just in our galaxy alone. So to think we are alone would be so delusional."

Further information:

The website contains other information which expands on Peter and his thoughts:

* Peter was born in 1983
* He started having experiences in 1995
* He currently lives in Albury, New South Wales, Australia
* At age 18, near prime he saw a big light the size of a small aircraft, "flying uncontrollably over Glenroy"
* He founded the group "Investigators For The Truth"
* In November 2010 he "captured video footage of a UFO over Nail Can Hill in Albury three times in the past month"
* He took a photograph at Beechworth which shows the ghost of a young girl outside the old jail
* He investigated reports of a "shadow man" walking in and  out of the main entrance to the Yackandandah cemetery
* At Albury TAFE he saw a "ghost believed to be of a person who slipped and died on a staircase."

Shi-Ji from Merope:

On one page of the website titled "Pete's Story" we learn:

"Since 1995 Peter Maxwell Slattery has witnessed many UFOs and shadow men (which are also known as ghosts). he has also had encounters with the Greys, light blue light beings (which are a race of beings named "Elohim") and a 5th dimensional ethereal being called Shi-Ji, from the star Merope in the Pleiades.

Pete says that Shi-Ji is helping him raise his vibration frequency and that she is also awakening him to who he really is. He has been told by Shi-Ji, that he and others, all around the world, are to help raise the vibrational frequency of others and to help educate people in the E.T. reality and the spirit realm. Doing this he is told, will help awaken people for the coming spiritual and earth changes that have already started to take place.

Also he has had an insight into how God, Angels, Ghosts, UFOs, Science and all religions and the universe are all connected."

Valerie Ransone - an update

Hi all

Valerie Ransone was a 1970's contactee who featured in accounts by both former astronaut Gordon Cooper and ufologist Jacques Vallee. I previously posted a piece on this blog about Ransone, dated 22 January 2011.

This post provides an update on two additional pieces of Internet information which have been located since. The first was found by blog reader Mic who ascertained that ufologist Bruce Maccabee had encountered Ransone at one stage (although he recorded her name as Ranson.)

In the winter 1997-1998 issue of the International UFO Reporter, Maccabee published an article "You Don't Mess with Ashtar!" It concerned the concept of channelled information from elsewhere.

"Many years earlier I had gone to a public lecture by a lady, Valerie Ranson, who in the late 1970's was travelling through the USA trying to raise money for a project to usher in the new age of space brothers etc.

She was a trance channel and did channeling during the lecture. She talked about the ancient powers and Atlantis and destruction of the earth and saving souls etc. I was one of the lucky persons to get to ask a question to whoever it was she was channeling at the time (I forget the name.) I asked whether or not life in the universe had been "seeded" by "panspermia." She didn't recognise the word so I gave a brief explanation ...she mumbled and spluttered a bit and then made some comment to the effect that I shouldn't ask such incomprehensible questions and then went on to the next question. I, of course, didn't think it was incomprehensible and beside I figured the source of her information should "know everything." As far as I was concerned she flunked the "channel test."

(Source: http://brumac.8k.com/ashtar.html)

I found the second item in the MUFON Journal, December 1980, page 20. In the "In Other Words" column by Lucius Farish there was the following:

"The October 7 issue of National Inquirer reports that a California-based group, the Interplanetary Network, claims that more than 1,500 people around the world have been contacted by extraterrestrial beings. Valerie Jean Ransone of the Network termed the contact "part of a precise program of communication" on the part of the aliens."

(Source: http://www.theblackvault.com/encyclopedia/documents/MUFON/Journals/1980/December_1980.pdf

These two items add further details to those revealed in my original post.

Have any readers come across a reference to "The Interplanetary Network.?"

A mystical experience

Many years ago I interviewed a young woman here in Adelaide, South Australia, who had a range of unusual experiences, including a near-death experience; a UFO abduction-like experience and what can only be called, a mystical experience (click here.)

The latter occurred while she was sitting, stationary, in her car, in broad daylight. In the sky she saw what appeared to be a bright light in the sky which was approaching her vehicle. She then experienced a "oneness with the universe." This fitted neatly in with other descriptions I came across which have been labelled "mystical experiences."

The issue of the "Scientific American" magazine dated December 2010, volume 303 number 6, carried an article "Hallucinogens as medicine" by Roland R Griffiths (click here) and Charles S Grob (click here) (pp53-55.)

The "in brief" abstract of the article reads:

"Hundreds of research reports on hallucinogens appeared during the 1950s and 1960s. Illicit use resulted in outlawing of the drugs. Restrictions on research, moreover brought study to a halt.

"Hints from the early set of studies suggesting that these chemicals might help treat patients with various psychiatric disorders were not pursued because of strictures on research.

"A new wave of studies of hallucinogens, primarily psilocybin, ( click here for more) has begun to address whether the drugs can effectively treat the anxiety of cancer patients or help addicts kick their habit.

"Early results from new trials point to the promise of these therapies, with some patients reporting profound spiritual experiences, and hence the ability to make important life changes."

From the article:

"Sandy Lundahl, a 50 year old health educator...swallowed two blue capsules...a high dose of psilocybin...producing changes in mood and perception yet only very rarely active hallucinations...Her response indicated that during the time spent in the session room she had gone through a profound mystical-like experience similar to those reported by spiritual seekers in many cultures and across the ages - one characterised by a sense of interconnectedness with all people and things, accompanied by the feelings of transcending time and space, and of the sacredness and joy."

One line of research "...delves into whether hallucinogens - induced states of altered consciousness - and in particular mystical-like experiences - might ease various psychiatric and behavioral disorders..."

My comment:

It is interesting that we are now, again studying these mystical experiences in the laboratory, where previously we only encountered them in spontaneous settings like the Adelaide woman I mentioned above.

Near-death experiencers also report a decreased on the fear of death; and a spiritual factor features quite heavily in these experiences.

Valerie Ransone - a 1970's contactee

Hi

Introduction:

One of my current research projects is looking at contactee/abductee accounts (the other is researching Australian UFO "cold cases.") When I read in a recent post by Pauline on this blog, that in May 1978 Dr Christopher (Kit) Green was visiting Houston "...where Valerie Ransone and a group of contactees have promised he would witness materializations..." I became intrigued and decided to undertake a little research on Valerie Ransone.

Why would I be interested in a 1970's contactee case?

(1) It was many years ahead of the Internet which clouded the issue with an overload of material.
(2) Unlike many other contactee cases, it involved some high profile people, e.g. US astronaut Gordon Cooper.
(3) The contactee herself was said to be high profile, although until I conducted this research I can't say that I had heard of her.

The Hawaii-Five-O connection:

I initially found a reference to Ransone in 1976. The located document stated that it was from the Hong Kong TV Times (18-24 June 1976.) The piece (found at http://www.jmdigitalscrapbook.com/HKTVTimes/HKTVTimes.shtml.)
included:

"The day began with breakfast, early for the locals but late for the visitors, at the Furama with Chun Kam Fong, Five-O's super sleauth, Chin Ho, who is as celebrated here as MacArthur.

"Other members of the party included MacArthur's friend, the lovely Valerie Ransone, former CBS correspondent and Washington power broker, who was putting together the Far Eastern Links in a new alternative radio service, The Information Network, of which she is President, principal shareholder, chief correspondent and board chairman. It also included the Dutch photographer Hugh Van Es ( see piece in New York Times KB) who speaks American English with the tones of a Five-O villain...It had been noticed that during the run from the jewellers, Valerie was limping. Unlikely as it sounds for such a beautiful and healthy young lady, she seemed to be suffering from the gout."

The MacArthur in the piece was James MacArthur, the actor in Hawaii-Five-O, a police drama set in Hawaii.

Enter Jacques Vallee:

I next picked up the story in Jacques Vallee's book "Forbidden Science Volume Two" where I located six diary entries between 19 May and 14 October 1978.

19 May 1978

"Upon my return from Los Angeles I met with Ira Einhorn at his hotel. We spent several hours discussing Bob Beck, Puharich and Valerie Ransone, a contactee who has worked in Washington for Nixon's WIN (anti-inflation) campaign. She is active in high-level circles, organising trips to the desert in hopes of watching UFOs.

" Confirming what I'd heard from Kit, Ira told me that Valerie and Puharich had gone over to see Beck in March or April 1977. Beck claims he can take his ELF generator to a coffee shop, turn on the device and cause every child in the place to start crying; conversely he'll tune it to a frequency that includes euphoria...

"Some German executives are said to have a device that shields a person against such waves. In a letter to Ira, Beck writes that 'competent authorities' have asked him not to reveal the frequency in question."

My notes:
(1) Ira Einhorn according to Vallee was a "radical thinker...a youth leader turned management guru whose destiny would include an ugly accusation for murder..." (p.9.)
(2) Dr Andrija Puharich was a "New Age researcher." (p.164.) (See his son's website.)
(3) Bob Beck "researches brain wave entraining..." (p.426.)

11 June 1978

"Valerie Ransone is setting up a company to disseminate messages she believes to be of extraterrestrial origin. Since networks are now at the cutting edge of information sciences, she's also building up a Center for Advanced Technology that plans to use conferencing. The whole thing is reportedly financed by Security Around the Globe, an industrial protection and private detective firm.

"Valerie is an attractive 28-year old woman with a brilliant mind. She's being helped by high-powered executives, captains of industry, impeccable business leaders she calls her "silver foxes." One of them arranged for her to meet the director of the Scripps Institute and Gordon Cooper, who's made curious statements lately about witnessing the retrieval of crashed saucers. She's also in touch with a fellow who owns a lot of real estate in San Francisco,

"Journalist West Thomas who heads up Valerie's computing center, has called from her office to enlist my help. Valerie got on the line to assure me of the seriousness of her project. I declined to become involved, bothered by all their pseudo-science."

9 July 1978

"Wes Thomas was waiting for me at Kennedy. He spoke about Valerie. He';s known her for several years, having met her when she was the public relations person for an energy information group. Her family came from the Chicago area and she studied journalism at Northwestern. Wes introduced her to Puharich two years ago. She spent several months with him, exploring every site where ELF research was going on. This particular topic of extremely low frequency seemed to fascinate her. "I think Puharich convinced her that she was a contactee," said Wes. "I'd never heard her mention it before she met him.""

12 July 1978

Kit was waiting for me at Dulles, driving a Volvo full of kids, so we were not able to talk seriously until after dinner. Once we were alone I brought up my concerns. "It's obvious there's a secret project somewhere," I insisted. "Take a case like Tehran...someone must be working on it, even if you guys don't. Also, I've been thinking about our discussion with Jim Irish. He evaded all our questions about the death of his colleagues on Mount Baldy, didn't he?

'You may be right," Kit finally said, "about a secret project."

"What about Security Around the Globe? Where does Valerie come into all this?"

"SAG is owned by a lady and her two sons. They've had a private detective agency in Nevada for 15 years. She has lots of contacts."

6 August 1978

"On Friday I set up a computer conference with Valerie Ransone in Houston, Wes Thomas on Long Island and Brendan O'Regan in San Fancisco. It took a curious turn when Valerie announced that her purpose was to select 13 individuals who would be invited to her "Signs of the Spirit" conference in Washington next December. She said "My goal is to establish a foundation for those who will meet space people in December." I reminded her that two years ago Puharich had already predicted massive landings "within 18 months." Later on he revealed that "The Direction" had decided to land invisibly! Always the same absurd stories."

14 October 1978

"The Valerie Ransone saga continued. The woman who owns Security Around the Globe"" became intrigued and upset when she saw the folders Valerie brought to her for safekeeping, like "Soviet Research" and "Military intelligence." So she called the Houston office of the FBI, who went through the papers. They initiated an investigation that reached into every corner of Washington.

"Among the papers in question was a letter claiming that Earth was now under control of the aliens...On Wednesday evening I had a cup of coffee with Valerie at the Capitol Hilton. She was with Jill Duvall, a level-headed woman. They've opened an office in Washington, and their "Information network" is now registered as a Californian company thanks to money invested by a friend of hers in California. Valerie told me the Aliens didn't want me to call my next book "Messengers of Deception." I answered, "Let's see how they will stop me."

Enter Gordon Cooper:

Vallee's reference to astronaut Gordon Cooper brought up two internet pieces. The first I found on James Oberg's website.

"There could be trouble with the space shuttle."
It was December 1978.

"What kind of trouble? I asked her [Valerie Ransone] over the phone. Valerie was at her office in Washington. I was at mine in California.

"Technical flaws," she said. "Something to do with the heating or cooling system. It's pretty sketchy."

"The warning had come during one of her 'transmissions.' She had no idea when they would arrive--the telepathic messages she believed were from extraterrestrial source of intelligence...She made a point always to document the details as soon as possible, usually typing up the complete messages.

"Four months after mentioning the vague possibility of a problem with the space shuttle, Valerie was in Los Angeles and came to my office. She was worried about new and more detailed information she had received. She showed me a single typewritten page of notes she'd made after receiving the transmission...The source of information professed to being concerned that the future of manned space travel not be jeopardised by such events.

" I'd been around Valerie long enough to find her knowledgeable and trustworthy, and I wasn't about to discount her transmissions. In addition her telepathic powers had been proved time and time again...I felt certain she was getting good information from somewhere: from where and whom I couldn't say for sure...I flew to Houston to see Bennett "Ben" James, and experienced engineer and supervisor in NASA's Flight Operations...I now told him it was possible that my business partner was in contact with "higher powers somewhere who may have better information than we do..." NASA engineers immediately went to work examining the space shuttle's cooling system,. looking at the detailed scenarios I laid out for them. They quickly identified and within days, fixed the potential problem with the cooling system-just as outlined in the transmissions I carried in my briefcase...Was I surprised that the cooling system fault existed? Not really. With Valerie Ransone, I had moved beyond surprise. But the experience gave me another shot of confidence that the source we were getting technological assistance from was for real."

The second reference was on the website for Bruce Henderson, who, on the cover of "Leap of Faith" is shown as co-author.

" In the late 1970's, Cooper unsuccessfully tried to launch a research company devoted to free worldwide energy transmissions using Nikola Tesla's discoveries, as well as advanced medical devices and other projects. His partner in this venture Valeries Ransone, claims top receive scientifically useful telepathic transmissions from extraterrestrial sources.

"The story gets weirder, as Cooper agrees to joining Ransone in the Arizona desert for a telepathically arranged rendezvous with a UFO. Joining them at this alleged meeting (which was cancelled) was Atlas missile aerospace engineer Dan Fry, who claims to have flown over Texas on board a UFO in 1950..."

My comments:

Are we any further along in understanding the Vallee quote about Kit green going to Houston to witness materializations? Henderson's quote re cooper agreeing to meet Valerie Ransone "in the Arizona desert for a telepathically arranged rendezvous with a UFO" might be a clue. Are the "materializations" referring to a "UFO materializing?"

Alternative views:

As with any area of knowledge there are alternative viewpoints and I came across a suggestion that "Were the "higher powers" mentioned by astronaut Gordon Cooper spies, feeding him information in a counter-intelligence scheme..." (See the website here.)

Before dismissing this suggestion out of hand, take a look at Nick Refern's book "Contactees: A History of Alien-Human Interaction," referred in a post by Pauline on this blog on 25 April 2010.

Information timeline:

From the information gained we are able to compile the following information:

1950 Valeries Ransone born in the Chicago area.
? Studied journalism at Northwestern.
? PR person for an energy information group.
1976 Introduced to Dr Puharich by Wes Thomas.
1976 Spent several months with Puharich exploring ELF research.
June 1976 In Hong Kong with James MacArthur.
Mar/Apr 1977 Ransone and Puharich meet with Bob Beck.
1978 Interactions with Vallee.
Dec 1978 Warning Gordon Cooper about shuttle problems.
Late 1970's Business partner with Cooper.

Appeal:

Has any reader come across any other information about Ransone? If so, please share.

The library system in my home state has one copy in its catalogue of "Leap of Faith," however, when I enquired about access I was informed the only copy was lost. If any reader has a copy, is the material from the book, accurately quoted above?

Contactees - abductees of their time?

Hi readers

It was in the 1950's that Contactees were one of "the" topics of UFO research. These were the "abductees" of that era. They were people who claimed to have met and interacted with aliens.

One of the books which has been sitting in my "must get around to reading" pile by my bed is Nick Redfern's "Contactees: A history of alien-human interaction." The book is published by The Career Press Inc of Franklin Lakes, NJ this year 2010. I had to get my copy through special order via Dymock's Bookshop in Adelaide. I couldn't see any copies on any shelves of my usual bookshops.

On page 15 Redfern sets the scene. "The aliens in question are usually seen dressed in tight-fitting one-piece outfits while sporting heads of lush, long, and flowing blond hair...they are deeply concerned by our warlike ways. They wish us to disarm our nuclear arsenals, live in peace and harmony with one another, and elevate ourselves to whole new spiritual levels."

Comment: As a passing note, this reminds me somewhat of the current arguments of the Exopolitics movement - disarm, have peace and you will be welcomed into the Galactic Federation.

Redfern looks at the stories of such famous contactees as George Adamski; Truman Berthurum; Orfeo Angelucci and George Van Tassel. Their stories make fascinating reading, with some of Redfern's source material coming from FBI files.

After reviewing the accounts of these and other lesser known contactees, Redfern writes "...one of the most significant aspects of countless contactee driven accounts is the fact that the experiences at issue occurred in significantly altered states of mind, and while the contactees were often situated in distinctly isolated locations." p163.

Redfern then reviews scientific information on hypnagogic states; channelling; meditation and mind altering substances and how these topics might relate to contactees.

Following this, is a look at US Government files that were kept on contactees such as George Adamski. Redfern comments that the threat of communism and possible infiltration of contactees and their followers, and flying saucer groups "...may help to explain why a significant degree of concern was shown at an official level about the politics of the players on the scene..." p177.

In the United Kingdom Redfern found that the Special Branch of the British Police Force kept files on "George King of the Aetherius Society..." pp177-178.

In chapter 19 titled "Manipulating the mind" Redfern says "Although many UFO researchers who have immersed themselves within the world of the contactees have been content to conclude that the claims at issue are either basically untrue or manifestly bogus, there is yet another avenue that may have a key bearing ...namely, that of U.S. military-sponsored "mind control." p181.

Refern ponders whether U.S. Government agencies' concern about contactees acting as "mouthpieces for communism" (p186) might have closely investigated contactees and perhaps went so far as to, for example "...seduce Angelucci into a drug-fuelled state..." p186.

Comment:

Many UFO researchers of today will probably not have studied the contactee era, seeing no value in these stories. I must say, I was one of these researchers. However, Redfern's work has given me a starting point for examining the accounts from that time.
