How interesting that the US Embassy got involved. I guess Canberra was a hive of activity for NASA in those years. And Bill beat me to the mark in noting the spelling of Narellan. :) I was interested in the 1976 Douglas Park-Maldon sighting too, as Douglas Park was my home for a while when I was in my 20s.
